Julep Maven April Box

The Vivid Collection.

I went a little bit overboard with this months box. For the main items I went with the It Girl box. From top to bottom the colors are Maren, Flora, Bailey, & Felecia.

Maren is a bubblegum pink with blue shimmer. 

Flora is a bright magenta purple with blue shimmer. 

Bailey is a neon blue jelly. This is three coats over two coats of China Glaze "Snow."

Felecia is the special add-on polish for this month. It is a mint green cream with small black glitter speckles.

I got two blushes and a bronzer from this months collection too. From left to right are the blush in Peach Bellini, blush in Petal Pink, and the bronzer in Light Golden Bronze.These are very powdery. As you can see on the edges of the pans, a lot flakes off as soon as a brush touches it. Peach Bellini does not blend well, it looks a bit blotchy on my cheeks. Petal Pink, however, works really well.

I recently purchased this chevron necklace from Jewelmint. I've received compliments every time I've worn it so far. I bought it with Burberry's "Brit" perfume as a free gift.

Too Faced A La Mode Palette

The Too Faced A La Mode palette for Summer 2014 came with three eye looks as most of their palettes do. 

First up is the Day look. I paired this with Lancome brown liquid liner and Julep espresso mascara. 

Next is the Classic Look. This was done with Sephora dark gray liquid liner and Too Faced Lash Gasm mascara. 

Last is a look created with the shadows from the Fashion Look. I didn't follow the directions because it was too tricky to use for me that shadow to make a cat eye. I paired this with Sephora dark gray liquid liner and Too Faced Lash Gasm mascara.

Peach & Gold Reverse Glitter Gradient

I made this look by using China Glaze "Sunset Sail" and  by sponging China Glaze "Champagne Kisses" at the base of the nail to create a bit of a gradient effect.
